«A disappointment»
Fairly routine country music fare, and quite disappointing. Julianne adopts a highly affected southern accent on most songs - it sounds forced and artificial (That Song In My Head, About Life, Hello). It's like you're not hearing Julianne, you're hearing her impression of how a country singer should sound. She would have been better advised to sing using her natural voice. Often the lyrics that emanate from her mouth are not at all believable (Jimmy Ray McGee, About Life). That might be okay if she was recording an album of cover songs, but these are new compositions. To sum things up, Julianne Hough - although a decent singer - is a country music poser.
Best song: Help Me, Help You.
Worst Songs: You, You, You; Hide Your Matches; My Hallelujah Song.

«Julianne Hough»
This cd is Julianne's first and I thought it was great! It is country music, but modern day country. It is lighthearted and fun, the way I perceive her to be as well. If you like Julianne, the dancer, you will like Julianne, the singer!!
