«Excellent Webcam for Mac»
I looked at a good number of webcams, and read a LOT of reviews before settling on this one. In a word, it's Great! Don't confuse the older Windows model if you're looking to run it on a Mac. This model is completely compatible and is plug and play. I opened the box, plugged it in the USB port, set it on my monitor and voila! I had video. iChat and Skype recognized it immediately.
I've used it flawlessly with Skype video calls and the picture quality and audio quality are outstanding. The lens provides a wide angle shot so I don't have try to stay exactly in front of the webcam. The audio is sensitive enough that I can speak in a normal voice and be heard clearly. I've also used it on Adobe's ConnectNow webinar program doing a video conference with outstanding results.
It may be a bit pricey, but you get what you pay for. If you want a webcam that just works, like your Mac just works, this is for you.

«Great Image...when it works»
This cam has great image quality when it works properly. The problem is, that when you turn it on, sometimes the image is very dark. The only way that I've found to get the brightness back is to restart iChat, unplug and then plug back in the cam on the usb port. Logitech customer support has been of little help, and takes forever to answer your pleas for help. I've read elsewhere of other people having this same problem, so I think it's the cam and not my computer or software. If you buy it and it does work, you will be very happy with this cam...you pays your money and you takes your chances as they say.

«It works on Vista, too!»
I have a dual-boot Mac Pro that I run Vista on from a separate drive via Boot Camp. I was on the fence about purchasing this, because I was afraid it would only work on OS X on the Mac partition. I took a chance and purchased it anyway. To my surprise, running Vista native in Boot Camp I found it works as well! Windows will not recognize it under Scanners and Cameras in the control panel, and it doesn't work in all apps (Windows Movie Maker wouldn't recognize it) but it shows up in Skype as well as online apps such as YouTube and UStream. Video quality is excellent and Autofocus/Autoexposure features work as advertised.
